I chose this as my mitzvah project because homelessness is an important and very relevant issue. I feel strongly that no one should be without food or shelter, and I want to support those working towards ending homelessness. 

The Listen Center helps families and individuals secure the resources they need to be safe, warm, fed and housed. They do this through a community dining hall, a food pantry, housing service, thrift store, and providing other resources.
